What would it look like to do something different today? Do something that breaks up the routine. Wake up 10 minutes earlier and go for a 10 minute walk. Listen to a completely different radio station. Talk to someone who you have almost nothing in common with, and ask them to share specifically about those differences. Let the unfamiliar assist in unveiling something new in you. Perspective, feelings, emotions, or ideas. Would that be enough, or is there something more needed?
I've become aware that although I may do one thing different, that difference quickly becomes the same. Try reading that again. I'm finding that the adjustment, or change that I make, stays within the same system and so routine quickly slithers back in. I might paint a wall, but I'm still in the same room. I'd like to get out and walk around a bit.
